Here’s a few things you can do when your plan starts:
Register for easy access
Once your plan is effective, set up an account on optumrx.com to view your plan benefits. Your login information is called a HealthSafe ID.
Find and compare drug prices
Want to know how much a drug will cost? Search your plan’s drug list to find covered products, pricing and additional information.
Locate pharmacies near you
You can easily search for pharmacies in your network or learn more about your pharmacy options with the pharmacy locator tool.
Set your communication preferences
Opting in to digital communications, like email and text notifications, gives you access to your communications online 24/7.
Get answers to your questions, anytime! Chat with us 24/7 on optumrx.com or the Optum app.
Here are a few more things to keep in mind:
UHC will send new member ID cards with Optum Rx pharmacy information, in combination with your medical plan information on one card. Check your cards to make sure the information is correct. Make sure to take them to the pharmacy. It will help you pay the lowest price for your medication, and it has contact information on it for any questions you may have.
If you have any concerns about your medication before your coverage begins, contact the pharmacy where you filled your prescription.
For questions about your pharmacy benefits, call the number on your member ID card after coverage begins.
